Last Tuesday and Wednesday I have presented a poster and an educational paper at the 31st Annual Conference of the European Association for Computer Graphics (Eurographics 2010). The conference took place at Norrkoping, Sweden 4-7 May 2010 and had more than 400 participants. The poster titled ‘Procedural Generation of Urban Environments through Space and Time’ was co-authored with Jeremy Noghany and Eike Andreson.
The poster proposes a set of programmable elements that can be adjusted to accommodate for buildings from a broad range of architectural styles, which can then be incorporated into a larger engines. The educational paper, titled ‘Using Augmented Reality as a Medium to Assist Teaching in Higher Education’ was co-authored with Eike Andreson. The paper describes the use of a high-level augmented reality (AR) interface for the construction of collaborative educational applications that can be used in practice to enhance current teaching methods.
A draft version of the poster can be downloaded from here and for the educational paper from here.
