April 2016, my undergraduate student Roman Mankovecký presented a paper
entitled “Dynamic Simulation of Virtual Agents and Obstacles in Virtual Cities”
at the Central European Seminar on Computer Graphics for students (CESCG 2016),
held in Smolenice, Slovakia.
The paper
investigates a simple model for simulating virtual crowds for virtual
environments and computer games. This model is based on the social forces model
and enhanced using Monte Carlo simulation. Special focus was given on the
behavior of the actual simulation.
