Yesterday, I returned from underwater
augmented reality testing at Epidaurus, Greece. We used a hybrid solution
consisting of a combination of computer vision and sensors for real-time
tracking.
Initial results showed that
tracking is quite accurate, and divers can visualise 3D information without any
significant problems. The testing was done as part of the iMareCulture EU
project.
